April 25, 2011 - More Minecraft Screenshots... The old screenshots... and Ubuntu

I have a few screenshots I didn't post before I accidentally deleted my world...

EDIT: Ubuntu is awesome!

EDIT 2: The update for Ubuntu 11.04 is tomorrow... I think... The interface is awesome, however you can't play good games... F*** you Ubuntu. Still works fine as a work computer though it can't use Microsoft Office though.

April 22, 2011 - New Minecraft Screenshots

I have new screenshots for all... Not many... but still...

 This is GERUDOKU's Pumpkin helmet... I feel like I'm in a FPS...

 A really, really, really, bad arch... near the spawn point of a questing map... city is coming in next screenshots...

 Sunset, or sunset, at a docking bay for an airship, building it rightnow

 The city's source of food... need to make sure there is no grass blocks exposed... damn sheep...

 The Fountains... of I dunno... Dumbledore? That wasn't funny... I gotta stop talking to myself... The unfinished wall is behind the fountain, you can see the crappy gate and pigs taking a swim...

 Ye Olde Inn for the questing city... It is connected to the airship dock.

Airship dock took off the extension of three blocks in the left part. Airships are hard to make...

April 21, 2011 - I CAN'T BELIEVE I FORGOT!!!

PORTAL 2 IS OUT!!! It actually came out a while ago, but it is fun as hell! Wait, that didn't make sense... I'm either playing Portal 2, Co-Op Magicka, Co-Op Diablo II, or Minecraft 1.4. PORTAL IS FUN!!! GET THAT GAME NOW!

April 21, 2011 - Rome and Version 1.5 of Minecraft

Rome is interesting, however there are a large amount of English people around... Oh wait... Yeah... Haha... Unfortunately, I didn't bring my camera with me on my trip. I knew I forgot something. So, Minecraft has a new version, 1.5 To bad I can't update it...
Features in 1.5

• Weather (rain, snow, lightning)
• Stats and Achievements (WOOT!)
• Detector Rail (pressure plate on a rail... kinda), Powered Rail (Booster rail, replace iron/steel w/ gold (Finally, a use for gold!)), and Birch + Spruce/Pine Saplings (Same as normal saplings except it grows into birch or spruce/pine
• Webs, not found naturally, data value: 30 hex: 1E (Makes player and mobs slower, also ghasts can't see you if you are in or behind a web... interesting)
• SHIFT-clicking items in inventory will put them in the chest without the dragging, and vice versa
• Crafting a ladder makes two ladders because the skipping one ladder glitch is fixed
• Better performance on both good and crappy computers (like the one I'm using)
• If lightning strikes a pig, it becomes a ZOMBIE PIGMAN!!!
• If lightning strikes a creeper, it becomes an ELECTRIFIED CREEPER WITH A LARGE EXPLOSION!!! (WHY AM I DOING ALL CAPS?)
• Ability to change GUI size
• Advanced OpenGL (Occlusion Culling: doesn't render blocks that the player can't "see", helps performance in cards that support it). 
• Smelting power of saplings and sticks are the same
• Items in the water flow faster
• Pigs that die of fire drop cooked porkchops (or as I like to call it, BACON... I'm gonna die when I'm 25 or sumthin...)
• Redstone can be placed on snow, so you don't have to dig the snow and then lay down the redstone, imaging what it would be like when it's snowing...
• Wolves more common, even in non-taiga/forest biomes (yay!)
• Hand damage increased from 1/2 heart to 1 heart (killing a creeper takes 10 hits instead of 20... yay!)
• You can see the name of the spinning mobs in the spawners by pressing F3

Bugs in 1.5

• Sneaking can rarely make it so you can place blocks on the block your standing on.
• Creepers can make noises of other mobs.
• Sometimes it rains in snow biomes. ^{is this a bug?}
• Repetitively putting smeltable items in the furnace counts as a crafting statistic.
• Achievements only work in SMP if you have already completed first achievement in Single Player.
• Achievements will sometimes disappear when you close and re-open the game and can sometimes be restored by closing and re-opening the game again.
• FPS counter shows Chunk Updates instead of FPS, usually while generating new chunks.
• The game will crash if Detector Rails are placed beside normal rails.
  • A crash will also occur if a normal rail is placed next to a Detector Rail that is connected to another rail.
• Blocks can't be placed on snow.
• If you change Advanced OpenGL to on and then back again, giant holes will appear that you can see through.
• Jumping off a fence in SMP triggers an anti-flight kick.
• Rain will fall through transparent blocks and stairs, acting as if there is no block there.
• When hitting a grass block the destroying animation is darker on the side than the animation on top of the grass block, though only on fancy graphics.
• Flowing water no longer pushes empty minecarts that fall into it.
• GUI: create new world input boxes misaligned under small and normal settings.
• Sometimes you might not get an achievement even if you do what it requires to get. This can usually be fixed by doing it in another world.
• Locked Chest is once again obtainable through inventory editing or SMP /give commands. The chests can be placed and destroyed by one hit, but no longer show the April Fools' Day menu. Locked chests will disappear after a delay.
• In Singleplayer, game resumes when 'Achievements' is clicked on the pause menu, instead of remaining paused.
• Riding in a minecart from the south into a corner going from north to west (so it's not connected to the current track) will crash the game. Possibly also true for other directions, yet if you're going in the same corner coming from the east, it will work as usual.
• Weather ambience will stop playing while using fast graphics.
• Destroying a pine or birch sapling releases the particles of a 'normal' sapling.
• Sometimes closing and re-opening the game will reset some or all of your settings to default.
• When jumping from a fence to another fence above the fence you jumped from in SMP, you may be kicked for flying if the server uses a specific plugin.
• If you resize the window (no-fullscreen) after typing in the world name and the seed, they both will be reset to "New World" and a blank seed. (with all GUI-scale settings)
• Mob Spawn rates seem to be set detrimentally high. Anecdotal evidence suggests an approximate 10x increase.
• Burning animation may remain on furnace even though all fuel is consumed, all smeltable items are used or the output-field is full.
• Game may crash by doing anything except moving or opening your inventory.

Hello all, I'm not going to upload another picture until next week... maybe. What do you want me to do with this room? I'm bored and I dunno what to do. I can't upgrade my Minecraft now because my friend won't let me use his account... Now I can find infinite amounts of Sercet April Fools Chests... YAY!!! Its my friend's birthday today. I'm going to start to build another tower... I'll post again later tonight. I'm sitting next to da best person in da world... Neil Ferland... YAYAYAYAYAYAYAY!!!

I'm adding one new screenshot. Its the first one I took in 1.4.

But most of them got glitched and died... I'll upload a picture of their graves soon. I have two empty rooms, the larger one was from the previous post. Another one is a little smaller. I might make the smaller one into a library or a study.

Aplril 4, 2011 (a) - Minecraft Screenshots, School, and More Later On

Hello all two of you reading this, I haven't been blogging much, I'm sorry. I have been playing a lot of Minecraft. Notch added a few things, wolves, cookies, cocao beans, and a bunch of other things I forgot about. I'm gonna upload the photos when I get home... In Minecraft I had six wolves but I had to kill them except one, that's because there is a glitch in the game where if you save with a sitting wolf, then it won't be able to stand up, ever. It was in the woods and I made a grave stone, a stone cross with a gold ore in the middle and a sign that said, "Here lies ____, R.I.P." and I put torches on the arms of the cross. Then I planted a rose where it died. Now its like Flander's Fields.

I'm currently in school... Its weird how I post many of my things at weird times... BRAZIL!!! I can play Minecraft in school, at least the client, not the browser version.

I'll blog more of this later on in the day.

Edit: My friend temporarily allowed me to use his account so now I have Version 1.4 of Minecraft. Yay!
